The vineyards of the Val de Loire extend over almost 1000 kilometres, following the Loire from its source to its estuary: from the Massif Central to Nantes.
The vineyards of the Val de Loire are characterised by a great diversity of climates and soils, giving rise to a wide variety of wines.
The Domaine de La Bretonnière has been owned by the Charpentier family for 4 generations.
Today, the vineyard is run by the 2 brothers Pierre-Yves and Patrice Charpentier. Pierre-Yves is in charge of the vinification, Patrice works in the office (sales & administration) and both of them do viticultural work. They made their first vintage in 1989 (taking over their parents’ business).
